Summer is finally here and there was no better way to receive it and start the weekend than being on one of Shanghai’s top club and dancing to the best electro house music with a little touch of Ghetto Funk courtesy of the main DJ of the night Damien N – Drix!
Summer vibes are all about being connected to your environment and enjoying everything that comes to your senses; this was exactly what the DJs made us feel starting with the warm up DJ playing some Disco House at the beginning and rising it up to some of the best electro house mixes of the season like “It´s a beautiful world” from Blasterjaxx , a crazy remix of “Me myself and I” to a remix of “Boca Linda” and a classic song of Swedish House Mafia “Save the World tonight” that made the whole crowd raise their glasses and jump to each beat.
Summer vibes may be too hard to handle but Fusion is always ready for the best crowds and it was just preparing to bring out their big guns for the main DJ. All the lights from the entire club were working at top performance along with the dancers positioned on all the stages with speakers that made you feel all the bass making it impossible not to be on the dancefloor the entire night.
Finally it was time for one of the famous DJs from Dim Mak label “roast”, Damien N – Drix has been gaining the love from people all around the world with his Funky House style, along with an awesome personality that makes him connect with the crowd instantly; this time was no exception from the moment he entered he dropped the beat with a remix of “GDFR” from Florida and even mixing some JLO with 50 cent before changing his style completely showing his skills scratching the Deck to Electro house music when the dancefloor couldn’t be more full. We had a little break to sing along with “Sweet dreams (are made of this)” before going back to a higher BPM as Damien fully got into a crazy mood, throwing punches to the air, dancing and playing with the photographer and the crowd , showing that he loves being a DJ.
I personally really liked Damien’s Style although I don’t usually like it when a DJ uses only popular songs in his set. However, in this case I could not avoid to sing to each one I was familiar to and I enjoyed how he was playing the crowd with some completely random changes; he played tracks like “ the imperial march” from Star Wars and picked it up with a huge drop of dubstep or any another music style from old-school with songs like an awesome remix of “ the rhythm of the night” and “ we are the champions” up to remixes of the latest hits in House Music like “how deep is your love” from Calvin Harris, “Laktos” and “On My way” by Sebastian Ingrosso among a lot of amazing songs. He even went crazy on the crowd by showering it with champagne from a huge bottle and thanking everyone from an awesome summer Friday night!
