Friday! One of the best words you can ever hear after a long week and it gets even better when you hear that Tony Junior is going to perform at one of the best clubs in Shanghai, Fusion! At this point I think I’ve been in Fusion a lot of times but don´t get me wrong each night there is different and you’ll always be surprised one way or another, but you can always count on top DJ performers throughout the night.

This night was no different, from the get go everyone went straight to the dancefloor as they enjoyed some classic summer mixes, with some songs from Kygo like “Firestone” as well as Tiesto’s edit of Dzeko & Torres “ L'Amour Toujours” and a Dance house mix of “What do you Mean” of Justin Bieber that made everyone in the crowd sing along.

At this point the night was getting great but something was missing, the crowd felt a little divided but by now it was time for Tony Junior to make everyone synchronize in the same beat and share their love of electronic music and he didn’t lose any time, from the moment he popped out onto the stage he asked the crowd continuously to make some noise as he started to perform with a more deep remix of Adelle’s song “Hello” that suddenly changed and had an amazing drop of electro house connecting everyone in the dancefloor; from that moment I knew this night was going to be amazingly different.

Tony Junior is no stranger to big names and as he has collaborated with some of the most famous producers and DJs around the world like Tiesto, DVBBS, Borgeous, Aoki and Nervo among others. It was not a hard task to recognize the songs in his set list and it was even less hard when he played “Get Down”, one of the most popular house music songs by Tony Junior and Tiesto, making everyone jump and dance as Tony Junior went crazy in his booth jumping along.

Tony did not only bring big names and popular songs into his set like “Five more Hours”, “Bailar” by Deorro, “This is What you came For” by Calvin Harris, the famous hit of “Faded” by Alan Walker and Dash Berlin, but he brought a different style of mixing by showing versatility of styles like hip-hop, electro-latin house and Funky house while giving a break to the crowd before having a drop that would get you right back into dancing and jumping like there was no tomorrow. He made songs connect and the crowd to follow along with whatever he told them to. It’s hard to describe how Tony Junior managed to mix some songs together but they simply just fitted great from blending “Reload” from Tommy Trash with “Save the World Tonight” by Swedish house Mafia up to “Heroes” from Alesso with “Rattle” by Bingo players. It was just so good to hear a style that fitted so many good songs along with a DJ that shared his energy and passion with the crowd making everyone feel part of the gig and closing a Friday night as it should.
